Second part of a commission for *spadiekitchenqueen, who asked me to illustrate some moments of this couple, Aelys and Aeran:
*One when he tries to comfort her (when they both learn he has to marry someone else) and she pulls away from him, crying
*One with them older, as they finally see each other again, 10 years after.. he holding her against his chest.. mourning all that has been lost and can't be repaired.

I can seriously feel the heartbreak here in both works. The initial, pleading in the first one and the desolate loss in the second come out in spades and it makes me really linger and stare at this and want to know more about their story. Great great work here with the color especially on the second half, the muted, cold color scheme does give it that hopeless feeling while the first has the bright, sunny disposition of youth still apparent. Love the body language in both halves, and that far off stare you managed to pull off in the second half is really striking. Great work~
