~ Like a painting ~
I've always wanted to do a series of portraits of my OCs inspired by some pieces of art. As some of you may know, I study Art History, which is actually my greatest love after drawing. So I guess I simply had to do something like this sooner or later.
As you may notice in the future, most of the characters won't be placed in their times' masterpieces. This batch of drawings doesn't want to give an accurate historical depiction of the characters. It doesn't demand to perfectly imitate the style of the artists I'll choose. It will be just something emotional and based on my feelings.


This time, a bonus! By now I just put single characters in paintings, now I put a couple in a sculpture. I adore Paolo e Francesca by Alessandro Puttinati, I often go to see it (it's in a museum in my city). As you know, I associate Ginevra and Federico to Paolo and Francesca, and this statue is just magic. It's the first time I try to give a marble effect to a drawing, it has been funny and I'll try again in the future!

For now, "Like a painting" takes a little hiatus, cause I'm going to come back in Sicily for summer and I won't have my Cintiq. But I have in mind some other portraits to do, so stay tuned!
